Nitto NT555 G2 summer performance tire review. My Charger RT has 397whp 405 ft-lbs & these NT555 g2 tires spun like crazy from a dead stop. Not a great straight line performance tire if you plan on launching from a dead stop. Prior to the NT555g2 I was using the NT05R which was a far superior tire for launching & traction from a dead stop. Let's see how the Nittos summer performance tire holds up to some 0-60 & launching on the streets.

Nitto 555R is the best performing drag radial on the street that can handle curves, hook on the street and not be a death trap in the rain. Have them on my Hellcat Charger and 680whp Mustang GT and love them.

I would hardly call this an ultra high performance tire. I think my Firestone Firehawks are drastically better than this, and they’re way cheaper too.

I live in Oregon and was not into having two sets of tires for summer and winter. I am now running BF GOODRICH
G-FORCE COMP 2 A/S 275 fronts and 305 rear. I don't have the 400hp at the wheels like R/T but these tires launch with no issue, are excellent in the rain and snow and take the curves like its on rails. I have to recommend them for my favorite all season tire. Oh yeah, they look awesome.

Bummer about the traction problems man. Ever think about switching out the rear end and putting on the LSD 3.09s? I can tell you that the crappy a$$ RSAs are adequate tires with my challenger with the LSD vs those same tires on my open differential Charger with the 3.07s. Good review and thanks for sharing man.

RP productions said those tires were worse on his scat pack than the stock all seasons. Car sounds great. A cam, headers, and exhaust are what the 5.7s DESPERATELY need. It really turns them into a different machine!

I said it along time ago, G2 up front and 555R in the rear. Best of street and strip with longevity.

o.k. lets start by saying roasting those tires is not such a bad thing it just confirms that all the power upgrades are working. When you nee to consider drag radials that just means your beast is in another class. the skys the limit my friend and i cant wait to see what you do next keep those amazing videos coming .

Lol try launching a six speed manual clean without spinning while trying to slip the clutch just right. Definitely takes some coordination just to get into the mid/low 4s or a high 3 on its best day, driver and car conditions, with a cammed 5.7! One thing that’s helped me was a rear subframe/ diff bushing upgrade. Helps a lot on spinning and wheel hop I definitely recommend it 👍 did you eventually get a proper alignment cause that helps a ton too after lowering!

Great and timely information.I was going to get these for my Scat Pack, not any more. I'll look to the 555R. I didn't realize how much difference the tires are compared to one another. (555G2 vs 555R). Triple.

Validating your experience. I have a '23 mustang GT auto. It's completely stock. SPINNING is the main word I would use to characterize them. Nt 555g2 295/35/20s

There's no such thing as a summer tire that will give you good traction in a straight line. They're designed more for good handling. They last much longer than the drag radial and should be good for around 20, 000 miles. The NT05 drag radial has a UTQG wear rating of 0. They're only good for about 7, 000 miles on most cars depending on how you drive. The wet performance is not all that good either. Depending on how much driving you do, you might be better off with Nitto 555r drag radial when the NT05s wear out. Although the triple 5 drag radial isn't quite as good at the dragstrip as the NT05, they last much longer and are much better in the rain.
