Random Gods is probably my favorite. It feels like there's new life blooming in the corpse of an old, dead god... The only thing remaining of him being the song of his thoughts, now sung by the wildlife that took over, which is quite fitting, because, in a way, he'll never truly disappear. He'll become one with the world around him, his metal forming shell forming a mountain, his processing microbes evolving into new life.

Every so often I would re-listen to this, its a very good cover!! I adore the build up, the soft piano playing as the string instruments lurk in the background, getting louder as the song progresses. Then the lead organ comes in, a familiar melody!

An iterator so big and so vast, computing thousands upon thousands of processes, too many for even a slugcat to comprehend. And yet somehow, within the cacophony of sounds and neuron flies, you hear a song.

2:00 is probably my fav part, the swell as everything gets LOUD similar to general systems bus in-game but despite that you can hear the melody as clear as day. It's grand and imposing, it feels hopeful but also a kinda sad?

I ADORE the entire album, but I think Random Gods is my favorite of all the tracks. The soft tone of the opening is so gorgeous, and when the music swells at ~2:00? It's like, transcendent, especially with the strings at 2:25. Probably helps that I'm a massive fan of Hans Zimmer's work in Interstellar, which very much has the same vibe as this rendition. I would LOVE an extended version with more of the swell/crescendo past the two minute mark, if that's something you would consider doing (Apologies if you're annoyed at that request, I just couldn't help but ask).

Not even kidding, this composition deserves to be played in a concert hall. Incredible work!
