You have to give this woman made great movies from 1995-2005 and that's oustanding. I remember Robert Benson mentioning she made the difficult roles in the beggining of the 2000. To Die for, Eyes Wide Shut, Moulin Rouge, The Hours, The Others, The Human Stain, Dogville, Birth, The Birthday girl, The Paperboy, The Beguield, The Killing of the sacred Deer, Being the Ricardos. This woman has it all. Congratulations on her award by AFI.

I haven't seen much of Nicole Kidman, but what I have seen is quite wonderful. I just saw "Lion" for the second time on PBS and was quite amazed at the story and how well Nicole portrayed the adoptive mum of this lost little Indian boy and supported him as he searched on google earth for his town and family. I will try to catch more of the films cited here to see this marvelous actress. btw: 56 years old and she has the face and body of a model. Don't we all wish we could do that.

I'm writing that i've seen all of Nicole Kidman's films and i enjoyed this AFI awards tribute. I'm also writing that actor Martin Short has been acting in show business and been making people laugh since the early 1980's. as of 2024 he's now been in show business for over 40 years. He was also a Saturday Night Live cast member for one season from 1984 and 1985 and he also hosted and made guest appearances on Saturday Night Live 13 times. he's never gotten an AFI Lifetime Achievement tribute television special and won an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award. I believe in the year 2025 it should be Martin Short's turn to have a an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award tribute television special and win an AFI Life Achievement Award.

I think it’s perfect that they used Moulin Rouge’s song, She was nominated for an Academy Award for the film but lost. I agree with Sean Penn who said to her in a telegram “ you were robbed”. She should have won. She has an Oscar for the film The Hours . ❤
