In this week’s show I’m starting with a reminder to hit the “reinvest” button right now if you want to DRIP into Ahold Delhaize. I then start to share my reflections on Microsoft’s purchase of Nuance, an AI / Machine Learning company which operates heavily in the Healthcare sector. Is this one of those another smart acquisitions by Satya Nadella?

Thirdly I’m diving briefly into the Q1 earnings from PepsiCo. I’ll show you how I analyze quarterly earnings to get an understanding on how the company was executing.

Fourthly I’m introducing to you the initiation of my Kids Dividend Growth Portfolio. I explain why and how I look at it.

This is also a nice intro into the main topic of today, because Unilever is the first position in that portfolio. I will describe what I like about it and share my perspective on it’s valuation.

Enjoy the video and feel free to ask me any question you might have. I might address it in next week's video.

I wish my dad would have guaranteed me a few Unilever ice creams continously for the rest of my life. Subscribed!

As usual this is really solid and underappreciated.

PepsiCo is one of my favorites and while the payout ratio is a concern, they are committed to the dividend, they are paying down debt, putting the brakes on share buybacks, and their interest coverage ratio (ICR) is 9.55, ($9.55 of operating income to cover every $1 of interest expense). I'm holding but I agree with you that I think the dividend growth will slow in the near term.

Thank you for sharing and posting this.

Thank you for making this video. Much appreciated.

I see that you're using the Amsterdam listed stock. I know that they have an upcoming merger and move to the UK exchange. That doesn't make any difference, but do you know any reason why somebody shouldn't be buying the US version?

I have around 60 stocks. How do you recommend I can reduce this to the 15 or so recommended?

Does the recent failed take over change your valuation. If they over pay lets say 70billion the balance sheet (only thing really good) fails completely.

Maybe update? Unilever down significantly on news they want to buy GSK consumer division( price is high though), but yield go to 4%

I believe one reason for the slower earnings growth lately is that poorer countries in emerging markets haven't been able to send as much stimulus money during the coronavirus crisis. I guess it's a decent recovery play.
