It covers the various cabling types such as shielded twisted pair, unshielded twisted pair, coaxial (coax), and fiber optics (single mode, multimode, and plastic optical fiber core). It also discusses layer 1 implementations in the context of the internet and some exam pointers.

It also covers a little bit of Layer 1 implementations for mobile (cell), but does not dive deep into the material.
