If quantum states are physically real things that particles can occupy, then don't we have a candidate for what spacetime is made of? Spacetime is made of wave function quantum states, that add up in such a way, that they can physically hold standard model particles. How is this not unification of quantum mechanics with relativity?

Realism of quantum state is more mathematical reality than the physical reality of quantum mechanics. Quantum reality (tunneling, entanglement, wave function collapse, superposition etc., are counter intuitive.
