Hi,
I am a user of Imatest master. I was analysing a camera using Imatest and I found that Imatest gamma calculation is a little messed up. I observed that Imatest calculated the gamma value by taking the values of log of "Px/255 ideal" to calculate slope instead of taking log of "pixel/255" values. "Px/255 ideal" values are in csv result file. And "Px/255 ideal" values are not ideal. Ideal values according to Imatest should be 0.949, 0.7882, 0.6314, 0.4784, 0.3255 and 0.1922 but the values I got in csv file are 0.957, 0.8388, 0.7192, 0.5944, 0.46, 0.3308 and these values are keep changing for different image that was analysed.
I think Imatest is calculating gamma and exposure error wrong by taking "Px/255 ideal" values for calculation instead of "Pixel/255" values. If I am wrong please let me know why Imatest is taking "Px/255 ideal" instead of "pixel/255" values and also please let me know what actually are "Px/255 ideal" values, since they are not ideal.
Thank you
