I can't stop listening to this beautiful song. Dean Martin had extraordinary talent and a very special voice. Wish someone would have written more songs just for him, especially these western type songs. No one else could hace given this lovely melodious song and lyrics the beautiful rendition that he gave it. He actually seemed to make love to this song. Thank you, for sharing. Dean had the absolute best voice of his era! To me Frank didn't hold a candle stick to Dean. I've always enjoyed his singing above all the others!

I remember watching this movie when I was a kids and now I am 63 years old I still enjoy watching Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson sing together.

When i was a kid, I used to watch this movie with my old-man, eating "Jiffy Pop" popcorn. He was a John wayne fan. We shared favorites: Red River, Fort Apache, The Quiet Man, The Searchers, Hondo, The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, and Donovan's Reef. It was one few things we agreed on. I was 19 when I left home for distant horizons, and rarely got back. He passed nine years ago. Now, everytime i see this movie I have popcorn, wishing the old-man was sitting in his easy chair watching it with.me.

As a kid, I grew up watching westerns on TV! Loved them, but Ricky Nelson and John Wayne and Dean Martin and Walter Brennan, those 4 will never be heard again! Loved this western!

If I could wish for anything, I would wish to have Deano's incredible singing voice. His rendition of this song is, in my opinion, the best singing that he ever did. And the song, written I think by Ned Washington, is a beautifully poetic song of the West and of the longing for a lost love. And the duet that he sings with Ricky Nelson, My Rifle, My Pony, and Me, is also fantastic. What treasures!
