Today I review a 2025 Mazda CX-30 Sport!

Best performing in the class. Especially because if no CVT

Loved my 2013 Mazda CX-5 but it needed that 2.5L engine over the 2.0L, the only available for that initial CX-5 year. Their venerable six-speed trans is a Mazda hallmark -- far better and more powerful vs. other brands' CVTs according to all reviews I've read -- and it and that engine are almost bulletproof!

My CX-5 ran to 296k early this year before I sold it--in perfect working order!

It was a great ubering/delivery vehicle of which 90% of its repairs were front end suspension due to terrible Michigan roads. Its drawbacks were that somewhat low-powered engine (which I compensated for using manual mode to drop into lower gears for almost instant extra power) and the janky infotainment center, which always had trouble connecting to any phone I used (Androids). Much preferable vs. low power and/or lower reliability of most other brands (except Subaru, Toyota and Honda) though.

Seats are really nice to sit in. Very comfortable (preferred trim or higher is best)

Not sure why they couldn't put in a toyota CVT to get 3 extra MPG.

This thing looked dated and overclad the day it launched. The CX-5 got styling updated that helped modernize it 3 years ago. Why doesn’t this get the same updates?
