Great advice.... I personally would add wind buffeting management to the list for yourself and passenger 💨

Corbin seat with silver snake skin design, Legend -A on back, Aveo on front, and stock handlebars fit me perfect, 2021 gloss black Road King Special. Great tips, hopefully newer riders will watch and take your advice!
Glad you back posting again!
Ride safe!!

Loved your number one tip for comfort being the seat, this is definitely a foundation modification 👌

I agree, those are the three best upgrades you can make to your bike. I loved the style and editing on this one. Another banger!

This is the first list I would say is 100% accurate. Seat made the biggest difference for me along with Legend air ride and bars. Other mods were fun but those 3 made putting miles down SO MUCH EASIER!

I think its pretty poor when you spend $57000 on a Road Glide CVO and then have to spend another $4500 on Wilbur’s suspension to make it rideable

I agree. You have to be comfortable or you won't like to ride it. Seat and handlebars on first on my list. Then of course some after market mufflers or pipes (not to many like the stock sound) And I personally like a good stereo so I have my tunes while out of the open road!

First thing I did was the handlebars, then seat and then suspension. It took 3 tries before I found my seat. BadBoyz Custom Venom seat! Great seat!

You are spot on with the order of these things. I can’t begin to tell you how many friends added bars with their stock seat, then the seat became uncomfortable. They found a seat they liked but then the bars were too short, tall etc etc.

You packed a lot of good info into a nice short presentation.

I just traded my 2018 Electra Glide Ultra Classic with 49742 miles on it for the new Ultra Limited Apex last Thursday. Here are MY 3 first upgrades.
1} Headlight. I do quite a bit of night riding.
2} Backrest. It's 170 miles to the closest city Reno Nevada USA from my house. I happen to like the stock seat. I've ridden friend's bikes with aftermarket seats and don't notice enough of a difference to justify the expense.
3} Touring windshield. It's wider so it keeps the wind from buffeting my shoulders-way less fatigue after hours in the saddle. Plus, the lip on top keeps the wind from buffeting both me and my girl.
Honorable mention.
4} Big Azz cup holder and Ciro powered phone holder. 2 small upgrades = 1 big upgrade:}
5} Helmet Bluetooth speakers. I have both Zyphon and U-Clear systems in Shoei Neo tech 2 helmets. I've had Sena in the past and wasn't very happy with the either the sound quality or the controls. The stock stereo on the bike is crap. On the interstate at 85mph you can't hear it in my modular helmet.
6} Saddle bag cooler for my annual Sturgis vacation. I also put on the saddle bag guard bags to keep our rain gear in.
As far as the suspension goes, I will be looking to upgrade next spring or just get it installed front n back at Black Hills HD next Sturgis a few days before the rally starts.
