I just love how all 3 episodes so far have completely crushed all the 'emo' stereotypes people had of noctis. He is so much more likable then any of us realised :)

Of course Gladiolus wouldn't be doing pushups like normal people.

I am really loving Noctis's character. He is caring, stubborn, emotional, and strong. It gives in more depth within his character. He isn't a cut out cliche of a anime/Japanese video game character (Sasuke, Ichigo) he actually have feelings and offers a lot of emotion throughout the show. He can be spoil due to the fact this guy is infamous throughout the land and lives in royalty, but he doesn't let that title defined him. His actions and care of others do. I am literally getting more and more excited for the story of this game from each episode of brotherhood. Now I am really hyped for Kingsglaive

my favorite part was "you're grounded. now go take a bath"

And this is why I love Noctis:
He's actually very selfless and will take responsibility when it counts the most, even if he really shouldn't have to. He is quite observant and attuned to those around him even when they think he's blowing it all off. He can stand up for himself without looking like he's doing so out of desperation or pure frustration. He'll take the heat to spare someone else the pain. I love him. And I would want friends like him and his bros.

This makes me cry. (Disclaimer: This is like the tenth or so time I've watched the entire Brotherhood Series. After watching this episode another time, I just thought I'd share some of my thoughts. Because a lot of people seem to hate Gladio. I will say he can be hard on Noct, and sometimes, he can be very dismissive, but after watching this episode, you can say he has made a lot of progress since they first met.)

Gladio was hard on Noct in the beginning--thought he was a spoiled, stubborn, prince with no depth, and a disregard for the rules. When Noct saves Iris at the price of being grounded by Regis, he took a bullet for Gladio's sister, and thought nothing of it. You can see it when Gladio tells him that he knows the real story, and instead of acting like he doesn't know, or denying what he did so that Iris wouldn't get a grand telling-off, Noct's blank look is because he really didn't put so much thought into it (or so it seems); to him it wasn't a big deal. It was sort of second nature of him to respond like that. Which kind of justifies something that people don't readily entertain when they see the prince: Noct is kind. Kind and just, well, a good person. He doesn't think of himself as above anybody, and he doesn't treat people differently from how he would respond to his own father. He knows he is a prince, but he is not bound by the stereotype of the pompous, self-absorbed prince. As a matter of fact, he just thinks of it as having a different lot in life. Period. The only problem is he gets misunderstood for being so quiet, closed off, seemingly aloof, and adamant about a lot of things. The penultimate case of still waters run deep.

Being the protected at all times, Noct wanted to do the protecting--he wanted to make sure that someone close to someone in his immediate circle wouldn't end up in harm's way. Towards the end of this episode, Gladio slowly began to understand that there was a lot more to Noct, that he could, in fact, be very selfless (who likes being told off by a disappointed dad?). For a child, Noct was very perceptive. He knew what was going to happen if he didn't paint things a particular way. You learn to watch yourself and what you say when you're always surrounded by other people. It also supports the notion that Noct is more intuitive than people give him credit for.

Interestingly enough, Noct never rubbed either in people's faces. Regis as a king and father, and the rest of his retinue, they were all a very grounding, humbling force in his life from the time he was born, and it shows. I love that Gladio was sensible and levelheaded enough to see through his initial irritation and vexation because a.) it's hard to think otherwise when you believe you already have the measure of a person; b.) he has to realize that what he sees of Noct (even when being with him on an almost daily basis) is not all that Noct is; c.) Noct did what he did so that Gladio wouldn't berate Iris, and d.) if Noct is brave enough to lie to the kind and his father, then he must truly care about Iris, which Gladio, if he purports to be decent, cannot be blind to.

I love how this became the start of their friendship: Gladio recognized what Noct did and that fostered in him a sense of respect for his ward. Gladio realized he was in the wrong, he was able to see through the haze of his own bias, and Noct was only more than willing to take the chance Gladio was offering him. That fist bump is such a symbol of their relationship all on its own: between two people who promise to never back down from the other. They are both teaching each other to be better people.

Good thing they didn't wait a super long time to release this one. They waited forever to release episode 2

I love how they are expanding the universe before the game even comes out. By the time the game launches, we'll have alot of context about the characters and what their about.

Wish they had done this to previous FF games. I would've loved a XIII anime to have expanded the amazing world.

"Should we run?"
"And leave the meat?"
I find that really funny for some reason.
Also this episode, just like Prompto's, was seriously beautiful. The way they grow as people thanks to Noctis, and also showing his good heart and the amazing person that he is (Showing that he would've been Prompto's friend even if he was all chubby, and his selflessness by taking the blame, which is really strange for a kid his age). Noctis has always been my favorite character, Prompto was always my second favorite, last episode made him share the first spot with Noct, and once again this episode made Gladio (which was my third favorite) rank up to the first spot alongside the other two. Gladio is such a human down-to-earth character, he's very responsible and deeply loves his sister (which I believe is the one girl he was referring to during the final companion mission in Episode Duscae), and he trusts and fights for Noct like his actual brother (which, I mean, that's the name of the show).
Now I'm even more excited for Episode 4, Ignis is serious, and as Akio Ofuji mentioned, he's such a dependable person and the one you trust the most, so I'm happily looking forward for Ignis's focus next month. He's my fourth favorite character (It's not that I dislike him, it's just that I liked the others more) but now that the others share the first spot, I'm sure that Ignis will sit by their side as well, and this will be the first time in ANY game that every single character in the party will be my favorite. (Yes, not just Final Fantasy)
Everyone have a great day!

man, watching these brotherhood episodes and the Kingsglaive movie after playing the game just makes it so much more painful knowing how the game ends and what happened through out the game too.  It's all just making me tear up all over again T^T oh and sorry if what I say spoils anything for you though I am not sure how it could.

This is going to be amazing to start playing the game already knowing the main characters backstories. To a degree, I already feel connected to them and I'm curious how their stories will unfold. Creating this short anime series was a brilliant idea.
