Duran Duran - Rio (Bass Cover)

Hello again!

So it looks like anything from the 80's is very much trending right now, have you noticed?! From old skool 80's sneakers/trainers, to neon makeup, and even in the music scene with the iconic 80's drums and synth sounds. Anyway, I got a request from YouTube user Jason Edwards to play Rio by Duran Duran and I just had to do it! Fantastic bassline by the one and only John Taylor who was in his very early 20's when he wrote this!

I thought I would complete the vibe by wearing black & white stripes and a red scarf- something Duran Duran used to wear a lot in the 80's ;) Luckily I didn't need to buy anything, they were just hidden away in my wardrobe, haha.

Anyway, keep the requests coming! I can't promise I can do all your requests, especially if it's something really difficult, but I can certainly try. I read all comments so If someone has requested something and you like it, please thumbs up their comment so I know what to prioritise.

I am glad YT didn't flag this for copyright infringement. I guess it depends on the artist. I did only one bass demo on YT about 2 years ago and I chose The Beatles "Day Tripper." I swear within 5 minutes it was flagged, I received a warning, and they blocked it. I could have appealed but they did say if they upheld the decision to block it then it would have turned into one strike against my channel! I haven't done another bass demo since then. Anyhow great playing Jade!! I love John Taylor's bass lines on Duran Duran songs, always so funky and really driving hard. He is a solid bassist. I am older then you but I remember when Duran Duran was huge in the early to mid 1980's, I just didn't appreciate his playing like I do now. Hope you and Brian are doing well. Patrick
