I wonder how much more effort it would be to write a decompiler that will convert any non-self-modifying ARM object code (including RISC OS) into C source code that can be recompiled for any platform?

It might be worthwhile changing the script (as per the supplied instructions) to create the recompiler version of rpcemu. It should be quite a bit faster than the interpreter version you used.
