Thought-provoking!
For a spell, we humans have fantasized about developing relationships with the machines we create... We make movies about communing with automatons that submit to our every beck and call. Case in point: The Stepford Wives! And over barbells, we refer to our bodies as lean, mean machines that we can force into submission.

But a defining quality of humans is the soul. And as humans are incapable of creating a soul, they are unable to recreate themselves - as they are.

It would be much easier (for me) to share emotions with the person in the room than let strangers judge. Additionally, I dare to disagree with the definition of the difference between vulnerability and validation. Let's present the example of artists who sing their hearts out in front of a crowd. One has to be vulnerable to make others feel their emotions. They don't particularly seek validation... (but the validation may come with it.)

That is one and most unwise thing one can do broadcasting about their private lives. It is called private for a reason as it is between two people not public. The view of the public for Angelina and Brad has 1000 versions only they know which version is correct one. That’s why I respect Enrique Iglesias and Anna’s relationship very private and out of public eyes. In his interview famous singer Philip Kirkorov said that left a big meaning was that people should keep their privacy to themselves and happiness loves silence.

Safety is important in a relationship for which I don’t have. When I go say something I sometimes get shot down and made to feel inferior and that my spouse is perfect and always calls me on the carpet for something so small I just clam up and will not speak and go into this hole and better off not speaking to her as I do not like confrontation and she is so head strong. I have seen this with her mother towards her father in our early years of dating and after marriage. One evening he showed up on our door step saying her cannot take anymore and I am in the same spot as her father once was as he had passed away many years ago. I think is it worth it to stay in relationship of 33 yrs. with all this I am having health issues as in Liver Failure with my auto immune called CVID, which has brought on this Liver Failure and I would have thought she would be more understanding about my health and try to have a stress and drama free household, but evidently she does not or as it I look better than I did many years ago when i weighed 120 lbs skin and bones and now 195 so I look fine on outside but inside I am not. I am at a point I do not care anymore and stop taking my meds. Maybe if I am lucky she will understand. as she asked me the other day Am i still on my mood, if she only knew. I feel like giving up and throwing in the towel. I am going to be 59 next month and don’t need to take this crap from her anymore.
