Truly Distressing Things from The World [Vol.1]

This is an educational and informative documentary.

Thank you for visiting 👋

As I have been limited to only one (recently two) main formats, I thought about expanding my content. I think the format Truly Distressing Things from The World definitely gives me more freedom and also is finally something new. Previous formats were really milked dry and the format Distressing Things from The World gives me opportunities to not only rely on internet based topics. The previous formats will NOT stop, this is only one additional format on my channel. This format will, as in most of my videos, also include mysterious and unsolved topics and cases, since my channel focuses a lot on mysteries anyway. Depending on the feedback I will continue with this format, or not.

One thing of note about the Rebecca case you didn't mention was that the main picture the police used in the search for her was a heavily filtered instagram pic. Even if she had just run away, people wouldn't have been able to recognize her based on the pic. I'm with the police on this on. Brother in law got away with murder.

When you said "imagine if this was a male" about the case of Yuka and her "fans", I couldn't help but think of Bundy, Ramirez, etc who mainly targeted women and girls and yet had many admirers and fans, some even male themselves.

However, I agree that her sentencing was light and that her being a girl likely played a role.

The Fusako Sano case got even sadder: after being rescued and placed back into the custody of her parents, they did their best to help with her recovery, refusing to let media have access to her and indulging her love of photography while she worked on their rice paddy. They also occasionally took her on vacation to a cabin (either at the sea or on a lake, I forget which) as she loved taking nature photos, which is where she witnessed her father drowning to death, being unable to help him as she didn't know how to swim and they were too far away for her to get help in time.

I've really wanted to hear a German person cover Rebecca's story, thank you for giving it the perspective we needed

Wth?? He kidnapped a little girl, held her hostage and repeatedly assaulted her for 9yrs. and got 14yrs for it?? I can't understand it at all.

The photo you used for Fusako Sano is actually a girl named Megumi Yokota. Megumi was kidnapped by North Korea to teach Japanese language lessons in the 70s and remains there today

It's always so weird to suddenly hear perfectly pronounced German names haha XD

Thanks for uploading amazing videos by the way! It's always a highlight of my day when I see a new video from you on my timeline :]

about the yandere case, they weren't actually dating, it was just a friendship, but yuka thought that they were in a relationship. that's why is so fucked up, they didn't have any kind of romantic relationship, she was just completely obsessed with him.

I think it's very likely that Florian had something to do with Rebecca's disappearance. It later came to light that her sister lied about the time Florian got in to bed next to her. When she got up for work, Florian wasn't in bed yet. No futher details could be extracted from her to help with the time line.
I personally believe he is guilty. He was very controlling and abusive towards Jessica. I think he made sexual advances towards Rebecca, she rejected him and he ultimately ended her life. I believe this narrative because he watched porn that morning. In his lust filled state he approached her and she rejected him. I think her sister knows what happened, but is afraid to speak up (maybe because she'll implicate herself, or because she's fearful of what Florian could do to her).
This is simply speculation, but I believe it is highly likely

There are plenty of cases of 'attractive male' criminals and assaulters who gain an abnormal amount of admiration and forgiveness due to their mystique, hell, even serial killers who look like they've been living in the woods for 40 years have their share of problematic admirers.

there is no double standard, any attractive murderer/attempted murder gets a fanbase regardless of gender. some males that got fangirls are ted bundy, richard ramirez, the columbine shooters, chris watts, devon erickson, jeffrey dahmer (women are in love with him, despite him being gay?), charles schmid, charles manson and probably more im not remembering atm. it has nothing to do with gender and more with being attractive. there are plenty of double standards you could complain about but this makes no sense

I fully support your new desire to jump into international cases that would be so interesting! I agree this series is great but it’ll get harder and harder to find interesting stories

Since you covered Rebecca Reusch in this video, you should definitley cover the Case of Tristan Brühbach in the next Part, definitley Germanys most Disturbing unsolved case

I think it’s awesome that you’re including more regional cases in this. There are so many crazy cases in Germany that most people internationally don’t know about.
P.S.: Die deutschen cases wurden sehr gut gewählt ;D

I remember looking into Rebeccas case the year she went missing. We're the same age and I was so sad when I heard her mother say she knew her daughter was dead when she didn't come home for BTS Jins birthday.. :(

I honestly love that you're gonna cover more German cases cuz up until now I've barely saw any cases covered from here even tho everyone's always advertising with their channel covering crimes "worldwide" and then it always ends up being the US, UK or Japan. Thank you!

The fact that you put Fusako's case immediately following the Glico case was a boss move.

I genuinely feel the perpetrator(s) that pulled off the Glico incident just wanted to prove a point, and they did exactly that.

A bad guy to you is a hero to someone else.

Am I the only one who wants Eudoxia to teach me German? I loved this video, not just for the content, but for hearing German spoken by him!

I honestly dont think the gender of the yandere case would change anything. there are so many fangirls for male serial killers and mass shooters online.
