2022 Freightliner Cascadia Lights Alert and Fix

This issue is trailer related. When this happens do a walk around to locate the issue. This could be an air leak, tire issue, or air going to trailor tandem. If the tandem doesn't slide this is an issue that needs to be fixed.

Awesome temporary fix.. but problem usually on the cascadia when this happens is the plug to the abs wiring getting wet and needs to be pulled apart and dried.. then reconnected.. it's an issue with these tractors.. suggestions is after drying the connection and reconnect is to protect the connections against water intrusion.

Had similar problem. Would lite up after hitting bumps. Turned out to be a pin fitment issue with abs module under fuse box on passenger side.

Had this problem for months. Could never get them to stop coming on even after a couple shop visits. Finally Found out the trailer was the cause. Was sending ABS signals to my truck causing it to trip out and all 4 lights would come on(abs, stability, hill assist, adaptive cruise). Got a new trailer and never seen them since

I take it you drive for Hirschbach noticing the Geotab. I drive for them. And my 2022 is in the shop at a dealer in Greensboro NC. Been sitting at a hotel for four days ECAS light comes on all four airbags are flat. and lots of fault codes on my MCM. And the starter block is not cranking over the truck. Lots of issues. Hopefully your 2022 isn't giving you that much problems as mine is.

Same problem keeps coming back shortly after a few minutes driving in the rain or snow and what makes it worse is that won’t let me switch from neutral to drive unless i reset battery but that’s causing me daily problems

What works best for me is I shut the truck off turn the battery switch too the off position, turn the battery switch back on and then I’ll cycle the key to the on/off position three times and then start the truck. Works 99% of the time.

I just had this happen to me. Reseting the truck by turning the power off for a few minutes and back on fixed the problem.

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC has agreed to recall 218, 147 model-year 2017-2023 trucks due to chemical corrosion potentially impacting brake-module operation during the use of adaptive cruise control.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Part 573 Safety Recall Report 22V-817, “On certain vehicles, chemical corrosion could affect the functionality of the brake-modulator valve, which during an Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) braking event may result in full system pressure applied to one front wheel end causing brake pull from differential in brake force. Regular service brakes are unaffected.”

If you idle with your tractor brake pushed in with your trailer brake holding your position & you get an emergency shut down happening & than you go out & check your fluid levels & they are good but than you turn it on & your check engine & regen lights are there & it's not for some reason regenerating you simply keep hitting the override button until she starts her regenerating process & keep over ridding until its done & when it finishes the lights should turn off and you're good to go. Remember that when you're parked for long hours in this heat & trying to save fuel by bringing your rpm to 5 or 6k that soot will build quickly over your filter because the higher rpm isn't cleaning it up as it should. Also lowering rpm by keeping trailer brake engaged on older trucks would prevent oil reaching top of the engine & into your turbo system that in those old trucks would cause extreme damage. It's been 4 years engaging my 2020 to save fuel & she's strong never had an issue but just make sure that she regenerates often

I just got this problem and this method deleted 2 out of the 3 lights. I'm going to do it one more time and pray for the best

Mine came on in construction after running on rumble strip, shut the truck off for 15min + and it reset

How do you lower all the beeping noises? They are very loud and very annoying they are a hazard.

This is happening to me now and its 2 things coming up. They are thinking the camera system that my company has installed they installed something wrong. Because i keep getting all those codes n me powering off, they wint go away.

Isn’t the top one HSA (still start assist) the other one is ESC (electronic stability controls ) not traction controll yes there’s a difference!!
