I bet Master Chief was forgettable for a person like Steve in his line of work. Master Chief didnt have much dialogue in CE or any of the games in the series, the character was designed to be that way. So the player(us) can put ourselves in the protagonists shoes.

Steve Downes really brought Master Chief to life with those simple yet badass lines.

One of the good things to come out of the 343 era is Steve really accepting himself as Master Chief, back then he didn’t even go to cons or heck even meet the other cast members. I’m glad he’s gotten full ownership of his character and even gotten to be on the same table as Jen and Keith David

I love him so much. He’s such a nice person. I met him at momocon and I was shaking and freaking out a bit and I dropped the marker I had for him to sign something and without skipping a beat he just said “man down” and the 5 year old in me just soared
