Jackson Energy Authority (JEA) in Jackson, TN is a multi-utility that uses Cityworks across Electric, Gas, Water, Wastewater and Telecommunications. Throughout JEA’s 60-year history, the Electric division has used paper printouts to track work, keep detailed asset information, and respond in timely ways to customer requests. Even after implementing a robust GIS, there was a disconnect between asset information and work management for Electric crews. Beginning in 2018, JEA’s IT department implemented a pilot project and then a full rollout of Cityworks for Electric. Co-Presenters Grant Rodgers, Jon Taylor, and Ellie Maclin will describe the project processes, final design, and current system state including integrations with CMS and billing.
