Every time there's a chance to include someone strapping themselves to a coaster track, you never forget to include that Desperado clip. Ever. I respect and appreciate that.

The almost big accident at 9:25 wasnt anything to do with the coaster itself if I recall it correctly, it was caused by starting the evacuation at the rear part of the train, and the heavier front part pulling the train through the small drop.

As a dutchman living near the efteling, the python was synonimous with rollercoasters in general and always set a bar for schoolchilderen to dare each other to ride it. It has so much history even tough it is quite a small coaster

Yes I agree with anyone saying you should cover this park more. This park doesn’t get a lot of English coverage regarding its history and you do a great job doing it. So many more unique Efteling rides with its own history!

Another Efteling episode! I'm so glad you're covering thie park and I hope you cover more attractions. These videos help some of my friends understand the park more.

Maybe you could do The Flying Dutchman next? It has quite some interesting history.

As a Dutchmen myself I really enjoyed this episode. I come here at least once a year with my family and although there are faster and longer coasters in the park nowadays, the Python is still one of my favorites. The only thing I miss about it now after the refurbishment is the "clickclack" when the trains are chained up.

I never got the opportunity to ride the original python, but I'm really glad that it's refreshed for another 30 years to come, I don't wanna see this beauty go anywhere any time soon

As soon as I saw the man on the tracks I uncontrollably yelled "do it, show the clip" at the TV. Thank you for another great video!

Glad to see the Efteling still reaches international attention. It's almost criminal how it usually has one of the shortest queues out of all the rollercoasters!
Talking future Expedition Efteling episodes, any chance of a Flying Dutchman episode? As far as I know it's a pretty rare concept, and the fact it's half dark-ride makes it even more unique.

Glad to see you found another reason to bring out that desperado clip.

I knew Python was iconic, but I didn’t realize it actually saved Efteling! This is so cool!

0:33…Wow! You actually got a chance to re-use the Lance Burton clip YET ONE MORE TIME! The gift that keeps on giving!

Love the Spookslot teaser at the end. Massively unappreciated Indoor Attraction.

I remember riding this as a child. It was one of my first large coasters (though not the first) and I absolutely loved it. It was also really quiet in the park that day, and the operator just told the few people on the train to signal him if they wanted to get off. If not, he'd let it roll right through for another go. I made so many rounds that day, haha! Fun to see it covered here.

I think Spookslot and Python are the two biggest contributors to the Efteling being the massive theme park that it is. Spookslot paved the way far the large scale themed experiences. And Python paved the way for thrills. Perhaps more minor thrills than in many other parks, but the coasters that followed, definitely brought greater themed experiences. Despite the lack of theming, Python’s iconic status doesn’t make the ride feel out of place. And I still love riding it. The slow lifthill does make it cool to take it in the sights. Especially to your left, when you see other attractions through one of the vertical loops.

Never heard of this park but now I have another added for when I eventually go to Europe for a trip to parks.

Absolutely adore your efteling episodes as a dutchman myself it's amazing to see your takes on the park. A flying dutchman review would be fantastic!

Loch Ness Monster (the inspiration for this story) was the first ever coaster I have ever ridden at my home park in Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The reason why I love coasters is because of that.

That tease at the end, though. Thanks Sam for this time capsule :)
