I'm a huge fan of Regina Spektor, but Chip Taylor's version is absolutely incredible. Whoever picks music for Sex Education is a wizard.

The season ended, but it seemed like it hadn't even begun

"Hey Maeve.
I know you can't answer this right now because I'm watching you, on live TV.
But I wanted you to know how proud of you I am.
And how unbelievably stupid I've been.
You telling me you had feelings for me was... was all I wanted to hear, and... I was so caught up in trying to do the right thing, I lost track of what that actually is.
It's you.
It's always been you.
I love you, Maeve.
Call me back.
I hope it's not to late".

It's been a while since a song has made me feel like this. It's incredibly beautiful.

... also now I need season 3

This is how it works
It feels a little worse
Than when we drove our hearse
Right through that screaming crowd
While laughing up a storm
Until we were just bone
Until it got so warm
That none of us could sleep
And all the Styrofoam
Began to melt away
We tried to find some worms
To aid in the decay
But none of them were home
Inside their catacomb
A million ancient bees
Began to sting our knees
While we were on our knees
Praying that disease
Would leave the ones we love
And never come again
On the radio
We heard November Rain
That solo's really long
But it's a pretty song
We listened to it twice
'Cause the DJ was asleep
This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again
And on the radio
You hear November Rain
That solo's awful long
But it's a good refrain
You listen to it twice
'Cause the DJ is asleep
On the radio

TRADUCIDA:

Así es como funciona.
Se siente un poco peor
que cuando conducíamos el coche fúnebre
a través de la multitud llorando,
mientras una tormenta sonreía sobre nosotros.
Antes de que fuéramos tan sólo huesos,
antes de que fuera cálido.
Ninguno de nosotros podría dormir,
y la espuma de poliestireno
empezase a derretirse.
Intentamos encontrar las palabras
para curar el declive,
pero ninguna de ellas estaba en casa.
Dentro de sus catacumbas.
Un millón de viejas abejas
comenzaron a picar nuestras rodillas,
mientras estábamos arrodillados,
rezando por que la enfermedad
saliera de aquellos a los que amamos,
y que nunca volviera.
En la radio
oímos "November Rain".
Ese solo es realmente largo,
pero es una bonita canción.
La escuchamos un par de veces,
porque el DJ se había quedado dormido.

Así es como funciona.
Eres jóven, hasta que dejas de serlo.
Amas, hasta que dejas de amar,
Lo intentas, hasta que no puedes más.
Te ríes hasta que acabas llorando.
Lloras hasta que te ríes.
Y todo el mundo debe respirar,
hasta que llegue su ultimo aliento.

No, así es como funciona.
Tratas de ver dentro de tí mismo.
Coges las cosas que quieres,
e intentas amar las cosas que coges.
Y entonces coges ese amor que creaste,
y lo metes en alguien.
En el corazón de alguien.
Bombeando la sangre de alguien,
y caminando abrazados.
Esperas que no se haga daño,
pero aún sucediendo,
lo vuelves a repetir todo.

En la radio
oímos "November Rain".
Ese solo es realmente largo,
pero es una bonita canción.
La escuchamos un par de veces,
porque el DJ se había quedado dormido.

When the song comes through "You're young until you're not
You love until you don't, You try until you can't". Suddenly I was burst in tears.

this season was actually really touching and helped me to realise so many things in my own personal life

I believe that Maeve was smiling because of Otis. He told her about the stars, not Isaac.

When he started singing "This is how it works, you're young until you're not..." while the season ended I felt my heart aching slowly coz I realized the answer to an unanswered question which was lying down with me since I was a teenager. Somethings are meant to happen. Somethings are not. Yes, this is how it works! I realized it now. This is how life works, we cannot change it.❤💯

This is a cover, the original is by Regina Spektor! The season finale was already making me bawl but adding this amazing cover made me SOB! What an amazing second season. They really do it right with this show!

I know they had to end it like that but this show really makes me overthink that "do it, it's not gonna happen twice"

For anyone interested: Chip Taylor is a singer who is making music since 1972 and is most famous for writing the huge hit Wild Thing. Besides that he is the brother of actor Jon Voight.

It was supposed to be a stupid show making fun of sex while also teaching about it.
And I wasn't supposed to get emotional.
