Bed should be raised to a comfortable height where both staff could work together as a team to put the resident into the sling. Work is evenly distributed

the bed looks like a profiling bed which can be raised to a safe height to avoid bending your back when turning to apply the sling. also a good idea to put a slide sheet under the patients feet to avoid friction burn when moving away from the bed.

My father is just about to be discharged from hospital and we have a care package that includes a hoist.
Obviously we will rely on the care workers initially, but it’s good to get a heads up on any training they are likely to give me.

Outdated and unsafe when knees are against the bars of the hoist. Hoist should of been offset to the side and legs opened on the hoist
