I think pink powder works all thanks to color theory, and it works well with yellow and/or olive skin tone. It has been used by professional makeup artist for many years, and in Korea there has always been pink products in the form of sunscreen or primer, these products usually have "tone up" in their name.

I LOVE the Tarte Shape Tape CC! It wears really well and looks gorgeous on mature skin 50+. I’m a retail manager and my makeup has to last for a 9-hour shift. The Tarte Shape Tape CC doesn’t settle into fine lines, is transfer-resistant, and doesn’t look heavy on the skin. My skin is oily/combo. My assistant manager is 10 years older and is drier, but I’ve also turned her onto the Tarte Shape Tape Cloud CC. Her first week wearing it, she had three different customers ask her what base was she wearing?
