SWTOR: is Revan Really Revan? Theron Shan admits Revan is his Ancestor

SWTOR - is Revan in the Forged Alliances Legacy of the Rakata Flash Point on Rakata Prime really "the Revan"?

Admits Revan is his ancestor? I mean... the name Shan is a PRETTY strong indicator.

Hmm this makes me think that the Revan here is either one of three options:

1. Basically a Revan brought back to life through the Dark Side of the force, possibly the same power Anakin Skywalker became a Sith for. However it corrupts the resurrected with the dark side of the force, twisting them into something else.

2. Someone tried to take on the force ghost of Revan and ended up only taking a part of him, possibly the dark side, and ends up making a "New" Revan.

3. Or it is a clone of the Original Revan from after he was killed by the Empire strike team. Revanites found some DNA, possibly from Revan's mask which is the only thing to survive the self explosion, that allowed them to Clone another Revan. Which then leads to a "Force Unleashed 2" scenario, with the whole even though he's a clone he is a completely different person.

If none of these end up being true, and an adequate enough reason isn't given, then Bioware has effectively killed revan for me :/

Both Theron and his mother, Satele Shan, are both descendants of Revan and Bastila Shan! Yes, Bastila and Revan broke the Jedi Code in conceiving their child, Venar Shan, who would become a politician and not a Jedi. Theron is not a force sensitive and was given away to Ngani Zho, Satele Shan's Jedi Master, to take care of him! He became and operative for the SIS (Strategic Inteligence of Spies) and was able to take out the Sun Razer and Darth Mehkis, as well as kill Darth Karrid!

They better get it right this time. Only Revan can beat the emperor! I think he has fallen back under the dark side. Light side ending to 3.0. He has fallen to the dark side and you redeem him and you 2 beat the emperor. The Dark side ending is that you team up with Revan and beat the Emperor!  If its done like this Revan becomes the savior of Swtor. As usual Revan was hear for sales when swtor came out. That made him a hero of SWTOR.  Everyone thought he died so the stop playing. That makes him Destructor to Swtor. Then they reliaze their error. So bring him back and do what they should have done. So Revan becomes Savior to SWTOR. How fitting to Revan!

Anyone else think it might be Tari Darkspanner? She did after all pose as a hologram Revan to her followers as means of protecting her true identity. She also founded the Revanite cult and would have had access to most of his trappings. Tari also favored Darth Revan's views to those of his Jedi persona. The other possibility is that he used Darth Andedu's life transfer technique to save his essence in another's body. This however could have lead to a merged persona between Revan and his new host. This is a strong possibility as Darth Bane also mastered this ability shortly after studying Andedu's and Revan's holocrons.

I would say that Revan is Revan, I wish he wasn't because they ruined him. Though if they wrote it in that he's an impostor, I wouldn't be upset for obvious reasons.

We don't actually know if Revan was killed, it was only believed that he died on the assault by some sort of destruction that wasn't even understood. To go along with that only his face mask was left behind so there was no visual representation of his death, and it could actually mean Revan used some sort of teleportation device or a cloak. Leaving the mask behind would make perfect sense to frame his own death. As for his current motives.... We can't be sure, we just know that he has experienced both sides in the past and he does not like either one because of their biasedness of their "sides of the force" (Anger, wisdom, serenity, destruction, etc).

Than my opinion this Revanguy is not the true Revan
1)Reven would never betray the Republic he has prove that more than a thounsant times
2)Vitiate had 300 years to "break" him and he faild The most powerfull force user faild who else cloud control him?
3)As an impirial on Dromank Kass you do a mission in order to spy on the revanites the mission is to "regain" the MASK OF REVAN from a sith lord. However on the foundry mission Revan had his mask. So if his mask was never on sith hands then why steel a copy?
4)During the Dromank Kass Revanite missions you face a lot of Revanites who their armor and voice was the same with Revan's.
5)Revan is a man with a great sense of graduate so as republic you saved him from the Emparor he would never attack you.

Scroll down and read the ending of his biography it describes how he believed himself to have died only to have come back with his mind "clearer" and even more powerful than before. He then destroyed the original revanites and rebuilt them with the intention of destroying the republic and empire
