Alpha PvE Fit - Road to Omega - Omen Navy Issue

In the series of Road to Omega, we will go through the most common and best ways for Alpha pilots to earn ISK and hopefully earn enough to be able to “PLEX” the account and become an Omega Pilot.

In this video we are fitting PvE Omen Navy Issue for Alpha Pilots which can be used for mission running, Combat sites, Asteroid belt ratting and even some NullSec ratting.

Hey Baffy, love the videos. Just an idea but Adaptive Nano Plating II gives slightly more resists than the Prototype Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane. If alpha players cannot use those because of skills they can use the Shadow Serpentis Adaptive Nano Plating, they have the same resist profile. They are only going for 700k in Jita right now, only 500k more than the meta ENAM. Just some food for thought, keep up the good work.

Amazing video man, i recently picked up this exact ship on an alpha and did some experiments and i have a few questions regarding your fit. When i first started to try out different things on my Omen Navy Issue i noticed that i was having a difficult time applying dps to frigates so i switched from hammerheads to hobgoblins and also got myself a web in the second mid AND a tracking enhancer. I even changed the second cap booster to a tracking computer with a tracking script i finally get enough application to frigates, or i can put in a range script and get a 12 km optimal with multifreq and 40 ish with radio. But this puts more stress on the capacitor so i run t2 passive hardeners instead of the meta 4 actives and cap is no longer a real problem. My fit handles lvl 3 missions well enough and i wanna know what you think of it but i gotta try out your fitting soon.

I kind of love shields because it gives me more time to get out of hot water, I know I've messed up a couple times in my Raven and was, in the end, able to jump away even in L4 to a structure to repair and go back and clean up the mess. But when Shield isn't buffed you loose that extra level of happy time. I'm not trying to diss your build, I will try it out I just wanted to throw out the point that being an armored tank or a hull tank isn't a happy place for me.

Keep them coming, and feel free to do some other races though I do suppose Gnosis covers them all. I will say a friend tried to run L4's in a Gnosis using missiles and he wasn't happy in the end. I'm gonna take a guess that he couldn't handle the few harder L4's in it.

Hey Baffy, as a relatively new player, I was hoping you could answer something for me. I have the exact same fit as you have here, however my DPS is significantly less. I have mostly the minimum skills required for this fit, however I have maxed out medium drones, and medium energy turrets for an alpha, but my dps is only 272. Any ideas on why that might be? I have a similar fit but i only reach about 250 dps. I'll try max out my skills then try this fit and hopefully i'll hit 400.
