This has been the fairest review I have seen so far.

I am playing the game and give it a 7 / 10.

I will continue to play as I am enjoying it.

Even a 7 is worth playing.

The streamlining of games makes them seem so shallow and hollow. Feels like you play a movie and not RPG. Dropped FFXVI coz of that. EA should have just made this a new IP, but EA just wants money obviously. Played 1-3 last 2 months (well still stuck in the hinterlands) and especially origins is just wonderful and has deep and conflicting choices. Fextralife has an interesting video which sheds a moderate amount of light on all the backdoor deals and incentives to rate favorably and excluding criticism. I just call that corporate munching. Big corporations have too much influence and people just behave however is easiest because of group psychology nudging. thanks for a good honest review !

Strife's voice actor took me out of the game every time he spoke, but i guess we're not ready for that conversation.

Just finished it this afternoon. It's still Dragon Age, just less. Every sequel after Origins took a step back from the winning formula, and one more into decline. 6/10. Too much politics. Wish a spiritual sequel would come out as good as the first game.

Half of me says it's 8/10, custom difficulty offered a decent hack n slash experience.
Linear games are not inferior to open world.
Dialogue is on par with Dragon Age 2 & 3.

The other half says its 2/10.
Rumour has it the dev team didn't want to listen to play testers.
So what do expect is going happen...dumb ideas don't get receive feedback.

Dumb idea: Shooting red crystals that for some reason don't have a shield
Dumb idea:, Bringing magic batteries to sockets,
Dumb Idea: Shooting shimmering shards for power ups.
Dumb idea: A limited supply of potions which on higher difficulty can make boss fights punishing instead of challenging.

All of these issues would've been picked up by the play testers.
We all know why the dev didn't want to hear outside opinions.
The pink and blue elephant in the room...

I didn't pay full retail to play "Dragon Age Veilguard"...it's just not worth the money.
