The Why Does Brobnar Suck In Keyforge Worlds Collide Video

After a pile of research, delving into the differences between Brobnar's past and current situation, I decided it would be best to not make a documentary with a script and instead show some real world examples of why Brobnar seems to fail within Keyforge's newest set, Worlds Collide.

Have a product or anything you want to send in that's related to Keyforge?

The best Brobnar lineups in this set IMO have nothing but setup cards. Shattered Throne, Pile of Skulls, and one or two creatures that can stick. The only really successful brobnar lineups I have are ones that have multiple actions notable bezerker slam that my Kirbys can cheat out. Untamed and Logos were the support and strong passive effect houses (mother, hunting witch, titan mechanic, cooperative hunting, library access, etc) but now we have untamed lineups and Logos lineups that somehow outright Brobnar. If you told someone when COTA released that in the 3rd set a Titan guardian would be better than all the Brobnar creatures people would laugh at you because once you rolled out your Troll, Krump, Bumpsy and war drummer you had the board.

You actually see WC Brobnar decks played online purely because of quad Bezerker slam.
Not anymore. Somehow Brobnar has become more disjointed than any other house in the game's history in WC (which is impressive because AoA Untamed and COTA Mars/Sanctum had some insanely bad lineups).

It is ok to compare the same houses from the same set because as you said they are from the same card pool and in a sealed environment especially when you pull brobnar you are often sunk from the start and really need help from your other houses to survive.

Brobnar has kind of become the COTA Dis level of creature power numbers while not having any of the crazy control effects. If your opponent doesnt care about your board (especially with Narp and Rapscal) then you've failed to design it properly IMO. A lineup for 4 or 5 creatures from one house is usually a good thing, except in WC Brobnar that can actually be bad because it can set off red alert, unnatural selection, and with Narp/Rapscal you could stop a key effect like Rhetor Gallim or Garcia from going off.

On the plus side Brobnar lineups in WC that have immediate effects like Stilt-Kin and Ganger chieftain can actually be useful and have immediate impact. But so often your turns with them are drop Shorty, Mogghunter, discard Narp, and maybe throw down one other guy just to get them out of your hand. That's sad.

Overrun and Barn Razing could have been tweaked as well. Remove Overrun entirely and give Barn Razing an Amber just so the tons of times you pull it you can get something out of it instead of just discarding it. An omni reverse warchest would have been cool as well, like opponent loses an amber for each creature that you killed in a fight type of thing. Heck reprinting Grenade Snib and Bumpsy would have been better than 90% of their current lineups.

I always saw Brobnar as a fun faction from previous sets. I think board control is a huge strength in this game and big creatures where there to do it. Right now, it feels like theres little ways to keep all the small creatures from running around and piling up into huge boards because theres only dinos to set them back.

Its a fun meta of just stealing amber without any risk, but I feel like its hard to take back control of the board with only one faction designed to fight well.

Hopefully these bigger multi-card creatures will bring a new twist and solve the balance problem of small/elusive against huge and unbreakable

A comparison to a CotA and AoA would have really rammed home the power shift in Brobnar. They went from battleline holders to good support house to "crap I've got Brobnar again". You can still get lucky and get some good cards but with the base power of them being about 4 vs Saurians 5+ armour and Dis bringing a lot of 5s, you have to get really lucky.

Brobnar actually put me off World Collide, sadly. I hate the imbalance because of bad game testing.
Hoping Mass Mutation will be much better!

They knew that Brobnar was doing out soon and everyone in the design team was excited about the new house, so no effort was put into designing Brobar. That's what I think happened.

Maybe Brobnar goes away from a future set. Or maybe it gets better lol.
