Computer technology has been developing at an insane rate.

Back in the very early days computers used to be the size of entire rooms, and these days we have computers that we not only can carry around in our pockets, but that are also many thousands of times more powerful. Hell, storage devises used to be like 3ft across and only hold a couple megabytes at most, but now they're barely the size of a finger nail and can hold terabytes, and all of that happened within a human lifespan. Shit's mindblowing.

I wish video game design/ innovation kept pace with raw graphics power.

I went from buying rpgs on those floppy discs to downloading games that take like 10, 000x as much storage space. Is the gameplay 10, 000x better??

The game designs improved a small fraction as much as sheer hardware advances... which is really weird when you think about how many scientists and billions have to go into improving the hardware, while the software innovation is so much slower.
