DAMAGE CLAIMS WITH TURO HOW IT WORKS

Today we are going over small claims and what this process looks like for you. The damage claim with Turo that i had to make was a smaller one that did quite hit the deductible. This is my thoughts of how to handle this small claim with Turo and my renter on the platform. I hope this helps in some way shape or form!

I'm having a a lot of problems with Turo.. it's been over a month and I had already sent the adjuster the estimate for the repairs 4 times, he doesn't take my calls, he hasn't even call the repair shop in order to hear their reasons and he wants an estimate that basically says that the damage my vehicle has it's because of an accident and not wear and tear. Now you don't need to be a genius in order to know that a suspension of a car with 50, 000 miles doesn't suppose to have all of it's joints broken at that moment. This was my beginning and my end with Turo!

Great advice. We woke up today and noticed about 6-8 inches of cracked front windshield on our Turo rental. Got one day left of driving in glacier National park and kinda freaking out on what to do. We don’t know how it got caused but think some rock must have flew up on the mountains and chipped it minorly and then possibly driving over a bump or slamming door elongated it. Not sure what the Montana laws are here for replacing windshield with insurance but I sure don’t want my insurance to be involved cuz premiums go up unfortunately. It’s my first time on Turo too and the owner of car seemed really cool. Wish me luck! Didn’t get any coverage on app as well. 😮

I recently went to Vegas and tried Turo for the first time. My family and I wanted to go to the Grand Canyon. We rented a Honda Odyssey for one day and paid a total of $185.99. On the way to the Grand Canyon, we heard a rock hit the windshield but didn’t notice anything. When I returned the car, I didn’t take any pictures unfortunately. I returned the car on time, clean, and full tanked. 30 minutes later, the host messaged me, thanking me for returning the car in good condition. She then asked if I could rate her. I rarely do reviews right away but since I thought I had a stress free experience, I rated her right away.

The next morning, I woke up to a damage report claim. The picture she posted of the windshield was a one inch chip. She said that the entire windshield needed to be replaced! I disputed this claim with Turo, but since I didn’t take any pictures, they decided to go with the process. The adjuster estimated the cost for OEM parts and I was given an outstanding balance of $1156! Turo did not work with me at all. My card ended up getting charged within a week! I rented a car for one day and ended up paying almost $1500!

I had the worst experience with Turo and will never use the app ever again! Thank you for being a kind and understanding host! My host did not even respond to any of my messages to try to work it out - complete scammer!

My 2018 Jeep Wrangler ($34, 000) was stole right after it was returned at DEN parking lot and TURO said they will not cover my loss!!! This is insane. TURO NEVER AGAIN!

Bummer....I had to replace a windshield on my personal vehicle because it didn't meet the deductible. However for sake of optimizing customer service you did the right thing. Also you got a feel for Turo claims process workflow.

good experience until they are dealing with a Windshield small chip claim; i repaired the small chip by Safelite and they did not recommend replacing the screen. Then owner decided they would love to have a new windshield! and replaced it and sent me $700 invoice for their choice of windshield; TURO sent me invoice and I disputed, however, they tried to charge my credit card without my permission !!! which is totally illegal. All along the way the reassured me that they will not charge me without permission, but they lied. lucky my card had expired. BEWARE !!!! TURO claim does not care about your case, they just want your money.
