Scott received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting from Accademia Italiana in Florence, Italy, a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Painting, from Washington State University. Iris now lives and works in a remote corner of Northern New Mexico with her husband and daughter. Her studio sits perched on the edge of a deep canyon, where petroglyphs, dinosaur bones, rattlesnakes, and cacti decorate an expansive desert landscape.
