Multidisciplinary approaches to improve patient care in lung cancer
Показать описание
Pippa Labuc, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia, discusses the crucial role of multidisciplinary care during the management of patients with lung cancer, which should include a wide range of allied health professionals in addition to doctors. In the pre-diagnostic stages, determining the performance status of the patient is needed to determine treatment, especially if patients have cachexia. Incorporating prehabilitation before treatment and focusing on survivorship after treatment is necessary to improve quality of life and survival outcomes. This interview took place at the 2024 World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in San Diego, CA.
