1. It was just a vision, it didn’t actually happen
2. It could be fake or a lie created by the demon
3. It’s (arguably) not the worst thing that happens in this game. At least it’s not the only bad thing there.
4. Given their current (toxic) relationship, it’s not too far out of the question. These things have happened in toxic relationships.
5. It leads to the friendliest outcome between the two at the end (bridge scene)
6. It warns the player about it before choosing it, even calling the other one as the sane option. It literally shows you what it is then you have to confirm it again afterwards (never/ never say never).
7. It’s never treated like a good thing or openly praised
I don’t get why people got so riled up about it
