Flood toll rises in central China, as tens of thousands evacuated

China’s central region is struggling with the worst flooding in recent history.
At least 33 people have died, and 200,000 people have been evacuated.
Half of those killed were stuck in underground railways in Zhengzhou city.
Streets, subways, factories and farmland have all been affected.
Thousands are expected to help with the search and rescue efforts.

To be fair, typhoons can be pretty hard to track. I remember one year when I was in Beijing, and a supposed "one in decades" storm was approaching Beijing. Apparently they even let water out of the reservoirs to avoid flooding. Well at the last minute, the storm changed directions and apparently decided to go visit Korea instead, leaving Beijing with a partly emptied reservoir. Oof.

recently floods occurred in several countries in a very close time. and all the countries affected by the flood disaster are all located north of the equator. For countries located south of the equator, they must be vigilant in the period from December 21, 2021 to March 21, 2022. But hopefully there will be no disaster and everything will be fine..
