Honestly I couldn't care less about the graphics (which are also not as bad as everyone is saying) modern gaming focuses too much on that instead of good stories and gameplay mechanics (both of which this game has) and it's what actually makes a game fun to play not the stupid resolution or textures.

This, so far, has exceeded my expectations drastically. I think as a long time Star Ocean fan I REALLLLY wanted to believe that this was good, but....been burned a few times, no doubt.

After 8 hours, still early days, but TRI- ACE have nailed it. They really have. And it's kinda fitting this is there sick or swim game. Besides some facial fuckery during cutscenes, this game is solid. I'm invested. I think I so expected this to go southward, that I'm beyond impressed. Kudos. It deserves to sell well. And I hope it does. TriAce deserves to be in the gaming Zeitgeist yet.

I love everything about this game so far and I'm over 10 hours in. I'm glad things like story and characters took a priority over graphics. Tri Ace had a small budget for this and I'm thankful they know what's actually important in order to enjoy a game. Also, the music is beautiful.

Don't forget you have the amazing Post Game, and cafting that all Star Ocean games have. Out of all rpgs I'll played Star Ocean alway have the best post game.
