My favorite difference between sloths and koalas is that to prevent falling and dying, sloths evolved in such a way that the natural position for their claws is closed, so they have to put effort into letting go of a branch and can't do it by accident. Koalas on the other hand simply evolved to have thicker skulls, because they're a lost cause.
