when you calculated 12mm xx & yy axix lenght may be it will, L=3000-2*side covers+2*300-(2side*2*top &bottom*)
so, L=3000-2*100+600-4*50
L=3000-200+400
L=3200
L=3.2m

10 min wrong calculations i. e. (3000-2*50)/200 +1 =15.5 ==16 nos of bar

Bend bar cover should be times to 4 because of top and bottom and two sides, also minimum concrete cover for footing on ground should be 75mm.

hello sami, you have not subtracted the hook lengths of 2D in the first steel calculation. aren't we supposed to subtract the lengths caused by extensions and bending?

thanks for the video sir but if 50mm is concrete cover and multiply by 2 for top or bottom so is the one side i think it should be multiply by 4 to minus the both side top and bottom concrete cover

3. Even you didn't deduct 2 side bend angle. It should be deduct as follows if 90° angle we have to follow Biritish standard formula .It means 2d "d" mean dia. 2*12=24mm for one side, so two sides to be deduct 24×2=48mm

Why you subtract cover at top 2 times. I don't understand what is the need of subtract side cover to get vertical length...

6. Cutting bar length is 2900+400-48mm =3252mm (each bar cutting length is 3.25m)
