The early Beatles had a hard time finding a drummer (a problem I can relate to). So much so that they would audition without one, saying, "The rhythym's in the guitars". When Bob Wooler booked them in Hamburg (against his better judgement), they had to find a drummer quickly or the deal was off. The only guy they knew with his own drum set was Pete, whose Mom owned the Casbah club, a homemade little hangout they had played in occasionally. He was, according to John, a temporary fix for the problem and in no way considered good enough to be a permanent member. It was always their intention to dump him at the first opportunity and when Ringo agreed to join (they had become chummy in Hamburg) Pete was out. Simple as that.

I think the Beatles made a good choice. Ringo is one of my favorite Beatles. Luv him!!!

I would like to see your documentation for your assertion that the record company wanted Pete replaced outside of the studio. George Martin went to his grave insisting that he never advocated kicking Pete out of the band. He just couldn't use him in the extremely costly recording operation. Pete was the most popular Beatle. He was disproportionately responsible for the band getting its initial traction. The record people DID want to promote McCartney as the heartthrob. The reality was the real heartthrob was Pete.

Actually, if you listen to the song "Love Me Do" with Pete Best playing the drums, and compare that with the version with Ringo Starr playing the drums, you will find that Ringo Starr was a better drummer, because he was able to the tempo of the song much better than Pete Best. With that said, George Martin hired Andy White for the mainstream version of "Love Me Do", because #1, George had never met Ringo prior and therefore didn't know anything about him, and #2, George was not particularly impressed with Ringo's version of "Love Me Do". Therefore, he hired Andy White to play drums with Ringo on the tambourine, and what we Beatles hear mainly is that version. Over time, George Martin noticed that Ringo improved a lot as a recording session drummer, and therefore had to apologized to him later on for doubting him. I would say that the reason why Pete Best was fired was partially because he could not ply drums very well, but also because he was a bit stand-offish when it came time to socializing with the other members during leisure time, and therefore did not hang out with them as much as he could have. Whereas, Ringo was a lot more social with the other Beatles, once he joined in. Anyway, I enjoyed listening to your video. Best wishes.

You don’t have to take the Beatles’ word for it; just listen to the songs Pete drums on, they’re not very good he had one beat. I’m sure it improved throughout the years
