The National Schism

During the First World War, internal geopolitical disagreements between the main political figures Greece led to strong divisions.
During the crisis known as the "National Schism", Prime Minister Venizelos and his supporters proclaimed a new Government opposed to the King's. Both government leaned for opposite sides in the war.

Venizelos saved the Serbian Army defeated and retreated from the Serbia trough neutral Albania all the way to the Greece.
He just recently got a street by his name in Belgrade.
