What a rude and ignorant host. He keeps interrupting Prof. Wolff and never even gives him a chance to explain.

Workers produce the wealth. Always have, always will.

"UH OH! He might actually say something that makes sense and might make a few viewers think differently! Time to yell 'It's the corporations money!' over everything he tries to say."

125 companies offering slightly higher wages is not worth trillions of dollars in tax cuts over the next decade. The people lose much more in terms of shifted taxes or just a flat out loss of public services.

If corporations are people, why is their tax rate lower than mine?!?!

Richard got him by the balls the minute he got him in this trap:

1: "Corporations" are the ones producing the profit, why can't they control their money?
2: Cut taxes on corporations "to get the economy going"
3: It's the money of the corporation, because "they went to work, and they've earned it"

to which Wolff replied is the PEOPLE's money because they went to work and they earned to... to which Varney replied "Oh, you're a Marxist"... lmao. His argument left no legitimate mechanism for how he could separate the ones "producing" the profit and the ones benefiting from it-- except "greed is good", "freedom".

Fox news only has People on so they can talk over them and chastise them. Impressed you maintained a cool head professor! As usual fox news hosts just shout things over and over and when anyone offers an alternative argument they just shout on top of that too so no one can hear it. Pretty pathetic from an argumentation standpoint, lol.

Workers design, engineer, manufacture, transport, sell, and buy all of the products and services that make the rich wealthy. They are rich because they own the products of our labor, not because the do any useful work.

He's a good little pigeon that host, doing his corporations bidding. Raise your voice loud and sound angry so all your robots know they should think like you do. What a horrible Karma you now have to deal with. I love Richard Wolff.

In most debates, don't they usually allow each side to present a point of view?
For the best understanding, isn't it customary to allow participants to finish their sentences?
If you constantly interrupt your guest, shout him down and refuse to listen, is it really a debate?

One great economist and one pathetic “journalist” (more of a TV clown) trying to impede the viewers from understanding the key economic issue we face today!

I knew Fox was bad, but I didn't know they were fingers-in-ears "it's their money! it's their money! it's their money!" bad

I wish I had the patience and knack of explaining things to people in layman terms. It's hard especially with ppl like the host acting completely glib and ignorant.

This is the right wing strategy... talk over a guest... don't even let them talk... just interrupt them. The arrogance of the mouthpieces of money will be their undoing. There's no point in talking with these types... gotta get the pitchforks!

I did not know an abstraction such as a company could do the work. It is like talking about numbers adding themselves together. They are both just abstractions. Somebody, usually people, have to do the work. It is the people at the companies who do the work creating the income. These people again are dependent on the wider society to make their work happen. A company relies on roads, telecommunications, and educated workforce, protection of their property and numerous other things provided by SOCIETY. Society has a right to demand something back for giving the corporations all those benefits.

It is the corporation's money only if corporations are persons. But this is absurd, because corporations are not individual human beings. The money earned belongs to labor because they worked for it and not to capital. Capital simply steals this money earned by labor and calls it corporate profits. This is theft. CEO's are multi-millionaires and billionaires off of the the hard earned labor of the working class, which frequently lives on low wages. The money does not belong to the government nor to the coporations it belongs to the workers and they are the ones who should be making the decisions about what to do with the profits. This is what worker-owned enterprises are all about.
