Im following the tutorial and when I try to update the plugin to be able to see the changes on the page the terminal does not recognize the commands you are using. Im using eclipse as my IDE an Im working on a window computer.

i want to add some javascript to a quiz attempt. so whenever a user try to attempt a quiz. i want to embed some javascript function into it.

Hi I try the firs part of the local plugin, show a notification.
I create directory and files same as you but can't see notification.
It could be the version ? I am working with moodle v4.1.10

I thought running the command "php --plugins=local_message --run" would remove those tables in the database already associated to that plugin at @15:04. Does this mean you need to remove them manually from the database? BTW thanks for this great tutorial series about Moodle!

after i created the version file and updated it it shows the error ''Invalid permissions detected when trying to create a directory. Turn debugging on for further details.'. any fixes ?

I tried following your method. But when I try to run the cmd: sudo php admin/cli/upgrade.php, I get the following error: !!! error/generalexceptionmessage !!! Can someone help me solve this issue? I am on a mac btw.
