Israel, Libya trade ‘circus’, ‘clown’ insults at UN

Ahead of Wednesday’s UN General Assembly vote on a Palestinian resolution demanding Israel’s withdrawal, Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon decried “the Palestinians’ UN circus — a circus where evil is righteous, war is peace, murder is justified and terror is applauded.”

In response, Libya’s ambassador called Danon “a clown” who was “trying to produce a show” and “failing to make us laugh.”
