Could you please supply a direct link to the 40 inert placebo-controlled studies that access vaccine safety that Dr. Offit said exist on the CHOP Vaccine Education Center website. I was not able to find those studies on their website and would love to see them.

I'm a teacher, and I am so very ready for my students to be back in the classroom, but I am at risk with asthma; my mother, who is also a teacher, is at risk by being a very recent lung cancer patient. I need human interaction, and my students are suffering from the lack of in-person socialization and non-verbal cues that don't happen on Zoom, but I'm also incredibly concerned about their health, my health, and the ripple effects that come from a single infection in a school setting.

I am a nurse teacher with scientific training. We need to recognise that as soon as we study something, there is political influence ( which I think you alluded to, Dr. Z). The very simplistic example that I use with undergrad students is this: researching egg fertilisation at conception in the 1950s or so = spermatozoon “fight” to penetrate egg. 1970s = egg “allow” the spermatozoon of choice in. 2000s = fertilisation is a complex chemical interaction between the egg and sperm. What next? Just an example to show that the ambient political environment affects science even when we try not to let it.
