Dr. Stephen De Wit discusses the importance of becoming aware of one's true desires and communicating effectively in relationships. He emphasizes the need for conscious communication and the exploration of one's own sexuality, challenging societal expectations. Dr. De Wit encourages individuals to break free from narrow societal norms and to recognize that they deserve love and fulfilling relationships regardless of fitting into stereotypical boxes. Dr. De Wit highlights the importance of feeling seen, heard, and validated in building meaningful connections and resolving conflicts, which he says is something many models on Jasmin provide for their members. He shares how his former experience as an expert on Jasmin changed his career because the Jasmin team encouraged him to be authentic in his streams, and it was one of the first times he was given permission to do that in a professional context. He also said the experience boosted his confidence.
"The clients that I work with on the speaking side are on the corporate side so, how do we deal with conflict how do we deal with changes in the workplace, how do we deal with any kind of upset or termination, how do we handle that powerfully and be able to move through that. So that's on the corporate side, but also in my private practice it's working one-on-one with individuals or one on two with couples. I love what you said because to me it sounds like a lot of what you do is helping people be aware of how they're feeling who they are and taking ownership of that and as I've been doing these interviews one of the things that I've really noticed is that when it comes to sexuality many people don't even know themselves because overall we are not really encouraged to explore this aspect of who we are. Absolutely I agree with that in so many areas of our life with our careers we evolve with our bodies and, how we take care of that our nutrition our exercise we're always like hey, this is something that we want to do our passions our Curiosities maybe our Hobbies it's like oh yeah this is really great but sex is this thing that's supposed to be you know kept in this like box."
