Checkpoint inhibitor advances in AML

Naval Daver, MD, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, talks on the utility of checkpoint inhibitors for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), specifically the use of nivolumab and azacitidine. Dr Daver also discusses methodology that can be used to predict response to this form of treatment. Additionally, the combination of nivolumab, ipilimumab and azacitidine, as well as the use of CD47 checkpoint inhibitors is discussed.
