I'm a Dapper Dan man myself...lol I always check my bags and just bring a messenger bag sized computer bag to carry on. I hate having to deal with douches who sit in the back of the plane and put their bags in the front of the plane where they are NOT sitting and having to find a place near me for my bags. I have on many occasions called a person back to tell them that they need to move their bag because the place they put their bag is for the person sitting in that row. My favorite airport as far as ease of getting through is actually the Pittsburgh airport, but it is a pain in the ass to get to from my house. My least favorite airport is London Heathrow. That place is a cluster-F! I have spent many hours in Chicago O'Hare and that is OK given the size of it. Plenty of places to get good food there too.

I do like the Denver airport, The Kansas City airport however has no amenities compared to other international airports I have been in. One thing I always take in my kit is Imodium, nothing worse than being on a business trip and having of some local food that does not agree with you.

#QOTD I DO NOT FLY, i don't trust the airlines anymore. Just in case, you can write off al away from home travel expenses, and your away from meals as long as it doesn't exceed the government daily meal ok. i travel for 36(ish) hours for my job ( a railroad conductor ). i have all job related stuff in a backpack, rain gear, weather appropriate clothing in case i have to get out in the weather, handy tools for in the field repairs ( zip ties, duct tape, and a hefty multi tool), walkie talkie, all necessary paperwork for class 1 rail travel. i also cary a cooler. i bought a weather proof tackle box from cabelas, lined it with attic fan insulation and put a plastic tub in it that fit just right. i keep (of course) food for the whole trip, all toiletries in one of the tackle pockets, change of underwear and socks in another, electronics and day and night glasses in another, personal log books in another, and there is yet one more pocket for junk (just binoculars right now). I just love traveling! (yea thats sarcasm).

Local small airports are the best. Not many amenities, but no lines or delays or long walks.

maxpedition dopple duffel!! the only carry on people should be allowed to have. fumbling with your hard sided luggage is a very good way to get mean mugging from this guy.

Never been to the Denver Airport
but i like Phoenix Sky Harbor and Frankfurt

Denver airport is great, but PDX is by far the cleanest and least crowded from my experience.
Seattle is nice too, but Seattle coffee is overrated
