The traffic stop for an air freshener hanging from a mirror is completely ridiculous. The police have better things to do with their time. This appears to have been a version of, "stop and frisk" that led to a disastrous conclusion. Having said that, the verdict was just.

She thought yelling tazer while grabbing her gun was going to let her off...

I am thankful for the correct verdict. I hope the sentencing matches the crime.

Even if he had a history with marijuana, that does NOT equal a death sentence!

Sending love and support to Mr Wright's loved ones 💙💙

I realize we ALL make mistakes... but just hard to believe someone, whom I assume had lots of training, could mistake their service weapon with a taser...

The prosecutor made the case when she showed Potter put the paper from her right hand to her left hand to free up her gun hand. Then she had her admit that the result of calling taser taser would clear the officers away. Potter planed the shooting and it was no mistake. She just thought she could get away with it.

The police do have a very difficult job to perform, however they have to take caution with others lives.

Hopefully this is just the start of holding law enforcement officers accountable for their actions. Wearing a badge in America has been a free pass to commit murder, and it's been way past time to stop that. I don't believe all cops are bad, but the system has made it not only possible, but easy for bad people to keep their jobs in law enforcement, and almost impossible for the good ones to fire the bad ones.

America needs more competent judges, prosecutors and AG's like these guys.
The defense certainly tried...but I see the didn't work this time.

So what if marijuana was used. What does that have to do with being shot?

I'm an ex security officer, i know that a taser feels definitely different from a gun, unless of course one panicks, but the panicking would depend on the threat before you! Dante didn't pose any serious and immediate threat to this officer!

Sadly, we are so excited about this... it’s the bare minimum! Someone is held accountable for their actions! It was a good day.

I understand that mistakes happened sometimes, but what the officer did is horrible and reckless because she let the guy lost his life. For that, I totally agree with the court decision and hopefully she will sentenced for 15 to20 years in a Jail with high fines. This is a solid message for every police officer in this country that no one above the law in this country. Stop killing the citizens for no reason or you will face serious repercussion for that.

Should never have been a routine traffic stop.

The Minneapolis police should be a bit more cautious after all the bad publicity they've gotten in the last few years.

I swear it's like winning a championship when a killer cop gets convicted. Happy holidays 😉

So everyone that smokes weed deserves toDie?
Drinking is more harmful to your health and has caused moreDeaths than weed ever has or will.
And this is coming from a drinker, but a non-smoker.

We have a long way to go to clean up law enforcement in this country, and it will always be an ongoing process to hold them accountable, but it is good to see at least some progress. The downside is that people like George Floyd, Daunte Wright, Breanna Taylor and others shouldn't have had to die for that to happen.

There's NO WAY she mistook a hand gun for a taser.
