Hello.. I had 500 dvr shares and I got only 339 tata motors shares, in ratio of 10:7, I should have got 350 shares, 11 shares missing..this happened to many other people.

I want to ask one thing, I had 2 shares of tata motors dvr which I bought around 1285 and after this merger I'm getting 1 Share of tata motors worth 918 or something. Even if I sell this share right now I would not even get 1100 rupees so how is it profitable for me, what about the extra money I lost for no reason. Forget about the profits I'm not even getting my original buying value, can anyone please explain this to me?

2. I hold Tata Motors - DVR shares and I understand I will get Tata Motors Ordinary shares, Fail to understand while there is no sale transaction per se so how am I subjected to Capital Gains.
3. Logically speaking Capital gain should accrue when I sell the share and recieve a consideration, in this I am recieveing none, according to logic when I sell the newly issued Tata Motors shares then I should be charged to Capital Gains and at that time my cost of acquistion would be cost of acquistion of Tata Motors DVR duly adjusted for conversion.
4. Can you explain this a bit further and the concept of deemed dividend too.
