Eddie Murphy wants ‘Shrek 5’ and a Donkey movie

I would love to see a Shrek 5 and Donkey spin-off (or put a Donkey origin flashback into Shrek 5). I read speculation once that Donkey could, potentially, be Lampwick or some other boy from Pleasure Island in Pinocchio. But, I won’t know until the movies tell me!

Mr. Eddie Murphy, you've blessed my childhood with sooo much laughter.

But Donkey blessed me, he said "cause that's what friends DO! They FORGIVE EACH OTHERREERRRR!

I agree. He does need a movie all on his own with his life on the farm and everything. Maybe going from home to home because people didn't know how to accept him. This has the potential to be a story of inspiration for those whose kindness was misused and abused, but Donkey's (typically known for their obstinance in a negative way) version of "stubbornness" is translated to his strong will and determination to not let anything break him from being true to himself.

That talking donkey with a heart of gold.

Not only is Donkey more funnier than Puss and Boots (Great movie), but the story would be more heartfelt and wholesome. The more I think about it, this movie would be a tear-jerker, but with Eddie Murphy's timing and charm it would be full of comic relief.

Also I want to know if he went back to the castle to rescue dragon from being all alone in that castle. or if she somehow broke free..

In his hurt, emotional state after Shrek said, "YEAH well.. YOU THOUGHT WRONG!!" Probably made him very repentant in his heart, and he felt lonely.

They skipped over Donkey's story because there wasn't enough filming time and it would have made the movie too long, I guess that's how it works. It's true, you can only buy but so much film time especially if you want to bring it to the theater. I get it, but now that I'm older, I realize that it brought everything together in the first shrek.

Did dragon just purr to Donkey the whole time and he spoke in English, or did he just think outloud and she just listened attentively and understood on her heart that he was hurt... It's amazing how deep this story can go. Dreamworks can do it, it's almost like it was in preparation.

I want to know if dragon turned into a Pegasus or a Fiery Phoenix after donkey drank that Happily Ever After potion ❤❤❤ I want to know her

I love their productions, but how DID you skip over Donkey, if we weren't ready before... The 90s babies are ready for it NOW lol😂 We need "Donkey" the Movie.

There's no better time than NOW we need his wisdom on friendship and overcoming obstacles despite being abandoned and alone .. he never let it change his character.

He's the perfect animation for times like today! Absolutely!! #DREAMWORKS the production that made Prince of Egypt, I know you are going to create an amazing storyline. I am so glad the Eddie Murphy is willing may the heavenly father bless him with long life. No other person could deliver Donkey's punchlines like Eddie Murphy. I'm sorry, we love him for who he is, with his childish, silliness this is what bring these characters 😅

Is it weird that I had a dream where a Donkey movie actually happened but despite being the comedic sidekick of the show, he ironically had a movie so sad that the entire theatre cried and when the credits roll, there was no dancing, no pop songs, just a melancholy tune
