Everyone in that stadium wasn’t paying any attention… Except Bailey… Never lost his focus.. Based his entire morning sermon as an example on no matter if the world around you stops… You stay focused… 28 yrs later, this play still resonates…

Fun fact: Robert Bailey's firstborn child was born just hours before this game, so when he spikes that ball, he's about as happy as a man can be, especially for being on a team about to lose a game! I always feel happy when I see this clip (although I cant imagine how much of an earful the Saints special teams got by Jim Mora after!)

Just saw this for the first time and I noticed something right off. The ball never comes to a stop in the End Zone. It’s still bouncing when Bailey picks it up. That’s how he pulled that off. Great play…
