There is no expectation of privacy in public. That's what blinds and window covers are for.

If you're in a public place, you dont have a "reasonable expectation of privacy" as you would in some where like your own home. Which makes filming without permission legal in public places.

Moses was recording a public event. The woman that turned her rage on him wasn't the property owner & he wasn't filming a private event in a private residence, but was filming what was a public argument.

You forgot to mention - he was filming an argument between other people & didn't appear to be involved in the conversation (or in this case, argument.) Even in a public setting, that can easily be a crime by itself.

I had the security guard try to beat the hell out of me in the entryway of a FEMA lobby. The police arrested me for defending myself. I was charged with a felony battery on a LEO. Go figure. I'll be damned if the State of Florida didn't prosecute me for it! My attorney coerced me to plea to a public disturbance.

I work in front of a camera and I'm accustomed to it. This is just the era in which we live, but being on camera can serve to protect you from false accusation, too. Other than that, I don't see the point in recording people who obviously don't like it if they're not a necessary element of the work you're creating. You can say that you're acting within the bounds of the law, but Jim Crow was once the law, too, so perhaps a law shouldn't define one's moral code. It just seems there must be a better way to have popular content than humiliating someone.

Quick edit: I'm not talking about the woman who behaved deplorably in the video, and I'm glad they caught her act for the record.

If a police officer notices non-violent criminal activity on private property, let's say someone is doing illegal drugs. Can the officer enter the property and arrest them?

You wouldn't believe how many people get really upset if someone's taking pics for a news story at an accident... if it's not obviously a reporter.

I've supplied pics to news agencies for YEARS and it's sad how many people have tried to get me arrested. Multiple times cops have had to explain what the First Amendment allows. 😬

Private property is not a public space. Court houses, police stations are not public places.
