NEW Hasselblad X2D Dynamic Timelapse Tutorial

Показать описание
The new Hasselblad X2D has an intervalometer drive mode which enables nice timelapse videography. In the video I provide a comprehensive tutorial on how to shoot timelapses with the Hasselblad X2D. I also show how to make a timelapse "dynamic", simulating a hardware slider for panning and dynamic movements based on the 100MP resolution of each frame.

Content:
00:00 Introduction
00:27 Get your exposure right
00:49 Intervalometer drive mode
01:24 Intervalometer parameter settings
06:01 Post-processing frames for a timelapse video
07:59 Static timelapse clip sample
08:20 Dynamic timelapse with panning and moves
09:15 Dynamic timelapse clip sample
09:35 Static vs dynamic timelapse clip

Brilliant review and demo of what's possible. I never heard of dynamic time lapse before ! Hoping to get my X2D next week. Very excited. Love your videos. I would love to see more. Thank you.

Really wish other camera manufacturers would come out of 1995 and update their interfaces like this. Absolutely beautiful camera and interface.

Thanks for the great video. As I am a newb in digital processing (still shooting film), would you mind sharing the processing you did to achieve the gorgeous results at 6:10 ? Thank you

there seems to be a bit flickering in the sample.
X2D uses aperture blade as its mechanical stutter so small deviation of aperture occurs between each frame.
I wonder how it looks using eletronic stutter. Does the camera still open up aperture between each shot for metering?

Excellent video. Iv’e had the X2D for two days now. A wonderful camera, but one reservation; there is no histogram in Live View. Does anyone know if there will be a firmware to fix this…

Interesting to see the dynamic time lapse without parallax, although there are no close objects to show parallax.

Are you planing comparing X2D and SL2? Would be great to see the performance comparison

The contrast is very high in your editing in that image

Yes, very good, well explained so it is understandable. Understandable is so important. ;o)

Hi Math. Thanks for the excellent explanation. Just noted the input into premiere pro is in JPEG, why not RAW? One more question, when shooting sunrise and sunset timelapse using first frame metering mode as suggested, what will the camera be adjusting exactly? Shutter speed and ISO? Which gets adjusted first?

Thanks 🙏🙏😄😄

Thanks for the great idea of a dynamic timelapse. Just one question, how much space did the 600 images take up, and how much the final video in full resolution?

Hallo Math. Danke für das lehrreiche Video. Würdest du bitte in einem der nächsten Videos auch auf das Klapp-Display eingehen. Wäre schön. Danke und Grüße von Dietmar.

Hasselblad says they haven’t promised eye-detect in a future firmware release. They also have taken away focus stacking. I imagine then the single point focus is faster but the same as the X1d…. No predictive autofocus. Is this the case? I don’t really see how this is competitive with the gfx 100, I would try to shoot fashion with moving models with this camera…. I would use the Fuji because more keepers…

I think the last one shouldn’t be there because the moment you get out of the interval mode it is ok

no reason for not coordinating with sony for the best auto focus!!!
